Seiko is brand well known for their watches globally and they are one of the few brand manufacturers in the world who make their watches completely in house, comparable only to Rolex in size. Their Presage line produces one of the finest enamel coated dials in the watch industry, like the Seiko Presage Shippo Enamel Limited Edition watch we have here. A time and date only piece, paired with a blue crocodile strap, limited to only 2500 worldwide, there’s nothing simple about the dial. It’s meticulously hand made by a famous traditional enamel coating artisan in Japan. The blue dial appears delicate yet detailed and complex, with multiple layers of enamel applied by heat to the dial to create something truly extraordinary. Look closely and you’ll also notice that the deep blue enamel is further accentuated by the gullioche-like pattern. The expertise required to create such a complex yet beautifully intricate dial is unheard of in this price range.
The watch as a whole wears comfortably on the wrist with a strong presence in a very modern size. It’s one of those watches which feel special the moment you strap in on and check the time.
This particular watch is a Japan only domestic model which carries the model no. SARX059. The identical international export model is SPB075. As this is a domestic model it can only be purchased in Japan. We acquired this special piece on our last trip to Tokyo and we only have one of the limited series no. 319, brand new with international warranty - buy it before it’s gone!
